Two brothers arrested after drug raid in Flushing

Police raided apartment on Barclays Avenue near Union Street and arrested Mahmut Tashkent, 35 and his brother, Saadil Tashkent, 31. They were charged with drug possession. Police recovered over $150,000 cash, 10,000 pills and other illegal items. They were also charged for selling over 50,000 Xanax pills. The investigatio started in January 2017. Both were arrested on Friday, October 6 early morning after warrant was executed. Mahmut is being held without bail due to Uzebekistan passport and Saadil's bail at $200,000. If convicted, Mahmut is heading to prison for 20 years and his brother with 10 years.
