Troopers investigate teen struck by a vehicle on county route 105 in Monroe

State Police in Monroe are investigating a vehicle/pedestrian crash on County Route 105 in the town of Monroe, Orange County.

On December 18, 2024, at approximately 8:45 p.m., a 2021 Toyota, operated by Berl Rosenfeld, age 27, from Monroe, NY, was traveling eastbound on County Route 105 when he failed to maintain lane and struck 16-year-old Shlome Bernbluth who was walking eastbound on the south shoulder of County Route 105.

Shlome was transported to Westchester Medical Center with severe head injuries and listed in critical condition.

The investigation is continuing.
