Troop K violent gang narcotics enforcement team arrests Bronx man on two occasions

Members of the New York State Police Troop K Violent Gang Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET) arrested Luis M. Rodriguez, 24, of Bronx, New York, twice during the course of a narcotics investigation.

On January 27, 2026, the first arrest occurred on South Front Street in the City of Hudson. During the execution of a search warrant, investigators located approximately 95.2 grams of crack cocaine, 1.9 grams of fentanyl, and 4.8 grams of a mixture of fentanyl and crack cocaine.

Rodriguez was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd, a class B felony, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd(intent to sell), class B felonies.

Rodriguez was arraigned in City of Hudson Court and released on his own recognizance.

Troop K VGNET was assisted by the Amtrak Police Department, City of Hudson Police Department, and State Police Livingston Bureau of Criminal Investigation and uniform members.

On February 16, 2026, members of Troop K VGNET, with assistance from Livingston and Kinderhook uniform patrols and the City of Hudson Police Department, executed a second search warrant on Rodriguez following a lawful traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway in the Town of Gallatin. Rodriguez was found to be in possession of approximately 103.1 grams of crack cocaine.
