Troop F community stabilization unit arrests two for drug possession on the New York State thruway

On March 26, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., members of the Troop F Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) observed a 2022 Nissan traveling northbound on the New York State Thruway in the town of New Paltz, in violation of New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law. Troopers initiated a traffic stop and interviewed the operator, identified as Andrew D. Rowe, age 48, of Saint Albans, NY, and the passenger, Rayon Chance, age 53, of Brooklyn, NY.

 During the investigation, troopers conducted a search of Rowe and Chance, during which Chance was found to be in possession of an illegal narcotic. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed approximately 500 grams of cocaine.

 Both Rowe and Chance were arrested
