Traffic stop in the Town of Morristown leads to drug arrest

On March 25, 2025, Troop B-Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team charged James S. Lago, age 41, of Ogdensburg, NY, Dustin C. Watson, age 39, of Massena, NY, and Bonnie L. Jeror, age 41, of Massena, NY each with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (a Class B felony).  Additionally, Jeror was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree (a Class C felony) and Jeror and Watson were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (a Class A misdemeanor).

On March 25, 2025, at approximately 3:59 p.m., deputies from the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the town of Morristown. They stopped a gray 2024 Nissan Altima for failing to maintain its lane. New York State Police arrived at the scene to help interview the occupants, who were found to be in possession of approximately 500 bags of heroin and fentanyl, as well as over 40 grams of cocaine.
