Traffic mess on the Kosciuszko Bridge

The NYPD reported a vehicle accident on the Kosciuszko Bridge with one dead and multiple injuries. The incident was reported this morning around 11am.

This was a total of 7 vehicles involved.

A passenger inside a cab, male, 75 died.

A 9 year old girl is in critical condition.

This was on the Queens side westbound to the BQE.

The initial report from police stated a driver, male, 46 hit a vehicle in the front which then turned into a pile up. One vehicle flipped to the side. EMS transported over ten people to local hospitals.

Police are working on the coordination of traffic from both directions.

Highway CIS is working on the scene.

Heavy delays all around.

Ongoing investigation.
