Town of Hempstead official arrested

Valley Stream - Ed Ambrosino, Town of Hempstead Councilman was arrested today and charged with tax evasion, falsifying tax returns, wire fraud and others. Ambrosino, 52 embezzled more than $800,000 from various accounts and didn't report $250,000 back taxes. He pleaded not guilty. If convicted, he is facing prison for 20 years. Reported 5pm.
