Top charge expect to drop for Glen Oaks resident related to federal obstruction

Philip Grillo of Glen Oaks who was arrested for J6 obstruction charges is likely to have top felony charge dropped which is obstruction of an official proceeding.

Grillo was arrested in February 2021 after his Knights of Columbus jacket was identified after calls came in with anonymous tips.

He was picked up near the Glen Oaks Shopping Center by the FBI.

Grillo, 50 was a former Queens GOP district leader.

When the SCOTUS issued a ruling on the scope of J6 obstruction charges related to the Fischer decision.

During his arrest, he turned down a plea deal of prison time for your years and was facing up to five years after founding guilty.

Today, he received notice from US DC trial court after found guilty on misdemeanor charges related to J6 incident on the motion to dismiss the top count charge of felony.
