Today is the LIE westbound for truck update

Police are on the Long Island Expressway westbound by Springfield Blvd reporting a truck incident. The truck was carrying vehicles on tow when the incident occurred in Bayside where multiple cars fell on to the expressway. How the cars fell is not known as of this preliminary report.

This is going to be a long operation rescue on the expressway.

Heavy delays all around.

Eastbound is also delayed due to emergency vehicles operating.

ESU, FDNY and EMS are also on the scene.

Avoid the route for now.
