Three years and seven billion later in NYC

The NYC Mayor's office stated as of October 2023 when the case management services started for migrants coming from the open border down south under then President Biden, the most popular president New Yorkers love, more than 208,200 have become self sufficiency which cost taxpayers $7.1 billion.

The migrant crisis started in NYC in the spring of 2022 when they were placed around NYC including Creedmoor in Bellerose.

The money went to so many involvement from non profits, partnership agencies related to the program within three years under the humanitarian crisis for migrants to take the next steps in NYC with housing, food and other vouchers. Additional staff were hired along with non profits to handle nearly 1 million case management sessions for the next steps in NYC.

According to the NY Governor's office, 2,800 applied for work permits and most have not been reported back to the Dept of Labor for an update.

Around 67,200 migrants were given airline tickets to their preferred destinations as soon as President Trump was elected.

As of this year, more than 62,000 migrants are still in NYC's care with taxpayer funds to keep the system running with all involved.

Meanwhile, according to demographic data released, NYC continues to remain a sanctuary city with more migrants in place while longtime residents are moving out of state.

It's a new NYC moving ahead.
