Three going to one new opening on Long Island

Joann Fabrics and Crafts are closing all their stores on Long Island as part of the bankruptcy. They have been in business for 80 years as a destination for generations of quilters, knitters and lovers of crafts projects. They are closing all stores nationwide after being unable to find a buyer.

All three locations, Westbury, Bohemia and West Babylon are set to close in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, the grocery chain Sprouts is all set to open the first supermarket in NY and it's on Long Island.

It's a blend between Whole Food and Trader Joe.

The location will be 1934 Middle Country Road, Centereach where LA Fitness was for a decade and before that, Waldbaums.

The Arizona based company was founded in 2022 and has 430 locations nationwide.
