Three dead after car plunged into Newtown Creek in LIC

Police reported three people dead after a vehicle plunged into Newtown Creek in Long Island City. It happened around 4:45am at Borden Avenue and 29th Street. Reported the vehicle landed in the water after it went over the hill. Divers removed three people from the vehicle and all died at the scene. Their names were not released pending family notification and the investigation is ongoing.
