This is from the mayor s office regarding coronavirus

The number 2 is the reason why public schools won't close.
1.1 million plus students across 1,800 separate schools
750,000 children are poor in need of meals
114,000 currently living in homeless shelters
To make changes, SNAP and other public assistance will have to be changed. The city is not prepared for that.
