Third alarm fire in Jamaica with one dead

FDNY reported fire at 144-12 106th Avenue. This is a private dwelling in Jamaica. The fire started last night around 11pm. EMS reported a 1 year old male child died in the heavy fire.

More than 155 firefighters were working on the scene. The fire was brought under control after midnight.

One firefighter was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of fire is under investigation.
