They are here to stay so stay tuned for more regulations

After the NYC Council passed the bill, 663-A requiring all scooters, e-bikes and other moped devices to be a 3rd party certified which are UL 2849 for e-bikes, UL 2271 for batteries, and UL 2272 for personal powered mobility devices, they are on the expansion spree in NYC.

Then more bills introduced which are all still pending,

The bills A-9092, A-9114 and S-9028 required all electric powered two wheelers to be registered with NY DMV and mandatory license plates. All bills are declined to present to vote by Council Speaker Adrienne Adams whose ambition is to have Queens with more two wheelers than four wheelers. Once the expansion mode is on a good level then more bills will be introduced but for now, it's a big no to bills.

For the first time, Queens will have an expo on two wheelers and it's the largest in one of the cities nationwide.

This is at CitiFields and its open to the public.
