The number one crime in NY is decriminalized

NYS Governor Cuomo signed the legislation on Monday that marijuana use and possession will no longer a crime in jail but a fine in NY. The legislation will also expunge over 500,000 people's record for marijuana use and possession. The expunge does not includes for violent crimes, parolee and undocumented people. Also, to expunge, one mus file with court and takes a long time unless lawyers are hired to do that. The law will take effect on September 1. The votes were favored by Democrats while Republicans opposed stating use of marijuana can cause vehicular accidents and children using drugs.
