The name is Kwon pause Liam Kwon from Queens

Liam Kwon won this year's NYC Spelling Bee and he is from Queens. Kwon attends the PS 32 in Queens where his parents work long hours to make sure he stays top in education. Now he is heading to DC to compete with nationwide selected talent of winners in Washington DC on May 26-28 for the final.

This is the main event where 99.9% can't spell words but the winners compete to grab the highest spot nationwide all at a young age which will be remembered for lifetime.

The last winner from Queens was 2013 by Arvind Mahankali. The other winner from the year 1997 was Rebecca Sealfon from Manhattan. Those are the only two winners from NYC. Queens is looking forward to his victory.
