The first Mayoral Debate to held with just two people

It will be held on Wednesday, August 23 and only two people are in the debate. Its the current Mayor di Blasio and former NYC Councilmember, Sal Albanese. Despite more Democrats are running with three others gaining ground, they didn't qualify. In order to be in the debate, according to NYC Campaign Finance, a candidate must raise and spent $174,225. That's 2.5% of primary expenditure limit at $6,969,000 set by the campaign board. This is the new rule to prevent rich candidates buying the debate at all costs. The rest of candidates are furious and angry not allowed to debate. NY1 will showcase the debate live for all. Tickets are not available for the public.
