The Right to Know Act goes into effect on Friday in NYC

Starting October 19, a new law will take place in NYC and that is all NYPD officers must pass out cards of their name and other details when approached. A civilian can file complaint against officers as well as obtain the right for video when approved if the circumstance of the situation allows. Another law is a civilian can refuse search without legal justification.
