Taxi driver in critical condition after crash in Hempstead

Police were called to the intersection of Fulton and South Franklin Avenues reporting a single vehicle accident. A taxi slammed toward a pole in Hempstead on February 24 around 12:30am. The driver was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and remains in critical condition.
