Tappan Zee Bridge will be renamed to Mario Cuomo

On Wednesday, August 23, Governor Cuomo checked the new replacement for the Tappan Zee Bridge's first span which is expected to open on Friday. The bridge which connects Westchester County to NYS Thruway will be renamed to Mario Cuomo Bridge. The second span will open next year spring. The toll remains at $5 each way.
