Suspect wanted for stealing a vehicle with kid inside Last seen in Bellerose

Police reported a suspect stole a vehicle in East Harlem with a kid inside. It happened on February 20 around 8pm when the father left the engine running with the kid inside for a quick pickup at the local grocery.

The child, male, 11 year old was in the passenger seat and the suspect decided to steal the vehicle anyway.

The same night, the child was dropped off at an intersection in the Bronx. The child called the father and reunited. The suspect took off with the vehicle. Last seen on Hillside Avenue and 240th Street at the gas station. Shortly the vehicle was also found nearby in Bellerose the same night.

Police described the suspect as male, black, 5'7".
