Suspect pleaded guilty to manslaughter of a 12 year old in Hempstead

Jakwan Keller, 22 pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of a 12 year old girl in Hempstead. The incident happened on October 2015 around 5pm on Dartmouth Street. Keller was driving and fired a single shot to a home and struck the victim, Dejah Joyner who died the next day. Keller was arrested in January 2016. His sentencing is on April 10 and heading to jail from 5 to 15 years.
