Suspect in custody after car jacking in St Albans

Police reported a driver while at the stop sign by the intersection of 115th Avenue and 194 Street saw a suspect approaching with a gun. It happened around 3:30pm in St. Albans. The driver turned slightly but the suspect was quick with a gun. This is when the driver took out a gun turned out to be an off duty cop. The suspect tried to run but succumbed and later reported it was a bb gun. The suspect cried until full force NYPD showed up and taken into custody. Charges are pending.
