Suspect identified for slashing a student at Cardozo HS

Police are searching for Joshua Wells, male, black as the suspect identified for slashing incident at Cardozo High School in Bayside.

The incident happened around 8:48am and was school was placed in lockdown. The student was slashed in the head reported in the basement.

The student also reported to police the suspect was carrying a gun.

Police are now searching for Wells, last seen wearing blue jeans, gray and black jacket with blue backpack.

The victim is the son of a school safety agent. Ongoing investigation.
