Suspect identified for carjacking in Garden City

The NCPD reported the suspect wanted for carjacking has been identified. The alleged suspect was identified by police as Patrick Blaszkiewicz, 33 and is on the hunt. In November, he was arrested for hit and run. Since then he has been in the hospital with injuries from that incident. Under bail reform, he was released after treatment was done yesterday. Shortly, he was on the Old Country Road in Garden City and carjacked a victim. The victim, female, 62 was driving a 2019 Cadillac SUV when he approached and took off with the vehicle. Ongoing investigation.
