Suspect busted for carjacking in Nassau County

The NCPD reported the arrest of Amir Simmons, 20 of Far Rockaway and charged with robbery, 1st degree along with criminal possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a vehicle for another incident on November 8 at 11:40am. 

On November 1 around 7:30pm, a 50-year-old female was exiting her parked 2020 white Ford Escape SUV on Stratford Avenue in Williston park when the alleged suspect Simmons approached and pointed a black handgun at her demanding she exit the car. Then left with her vehicle and traveled north on Stratford Avenue. 

He was arraigned on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
