Suspect arrested for road rage and robbery in Jackson Heights

Police reported a male suspect taken into custody today for the road rage and robbery in Jackson Heights. The incident was reported on Saturday around 7pm when a 23 year old pulled out of a parking lot and sideswiped the suspect's vehicle. This is when the suspect exited the vehicle demanding money. The driver's father admitted fault and was willing to pay for the damage. Somehow the situation escalated and the suspect started punching the father knocking him to the ground. Then attacked the son and took off with their items. The Queens DA's reported the alleged suspect identified as Jovani Padin, 27 of Jackson Heights. Charges are pending.
