Suspect arrested for hit and run in Roslyn Harbor

Homicide Squad Detectives report the arrest of a Glenwood Landing man for Leaving the Scene of an Accident that occurred on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 8:15 A.M. in Roslyn Harbor.

According to detectives, on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 10:35 P.M. a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro was travelling eastbound on Scudders Lane in Glenwood Landing and struck two victims standing in front of 150 Scudders Lane; the vehicle fled the scene. Both male victims, age 27, sustained head injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

An investigation led to the vehicle being located at a residence on Glenwood Road in Roslyn Harbor. Defendant Amir Dashti, 27, of 108 Scudders Lane, Glenwood Landing, was arrested without further incident.

Defendant Amir Dashti is charged with two counts of Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Serious Personal Injury. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 in First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead. (From NCPD)
