Suspect arrested for criminal possession in Bellmore

The NCPD reports the arrest of a Uniondale man for Criminal Possession of a Weapon on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 9:15 pm in Bellmore.

According to detectives, police responded to a location on Newbridge Road for a man who appeared to be sick while inside his vehicle and parked in the middle of the roadway.  Upon arrival, officers discovered Prathamjyot Nahal, 24, of 104 Manor Parkway, was in possession of a black 9mm “Ghost Gun”.  Defendant Nahal was placed into custody without incident and transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

Prathamjyot Nahal is charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
