Suspect arrested after hitting a police vehicle on HHP

Police reported a suspect deliberately struck a vehicle toward an NYPD vehicle with two officers inside. This is at Horace Harding Expressway westbound at 99th Avenue near Junction Blvd in Corona. The suspect was taken into custody after ranting and laughing. The officer suffered leg injury and is being transported to a local hospital. Chopper hovering above. More than 100 police officers are at the gas station where the incident occurred. Searching for additional perps from reports. Ongoing investigation.
Update - Nassau County detective was investigating suspects for stolen auto. During the confrontation, the suspect rammed the stolen auto and took off on foot. Another suspect has been arrested.
