Student lied about the assault and robbery near St John s University

Fresh Meadows - Shaan Farooqi, 21, a Pakistani student attending NYC Technical College finally admitted he lied about the robbery and assault when police digged further. Farooqi claimed he was attacked by three people in a white van who pushed him inside on Thursday, May 25 around 4:30pm. Also he was assaulted and robbed. Additional details were not provided. Reported 12pm.
