Student assaulted and robbed near St John s University

Fresh Meadows - Police were called to the intersection of 81st Avenue and 165th Street on Thursday, May 25 around 4:30pm reporting a male, 21 was assaulted and robbed. Further investigation reported the victim, a NYC College of Technology student and a native of Pakistan was walking home when three suspects wearing masks grabbed him into a black commercial van and robbed him. They also threatened to kill him by yelling anti racial slogans. They took his personal items and only had about $5 in his pocket. Afterward, they pushed him out of the van and took off. The victim refused medical attention. This is near St. John's University. Reported 3pm.
