Stop the Jail protest in Kew Gardens

Today at 1pm, there was a protest outside Queens Borough Hall on Queens Blvd in Kew Gardens protesting to stop the 29 story jail coming soon as part of closure of Rikers Island. This time, the turnouts were the largest due to District Attorney race. One candidate, Greg Lasak was in attendance who opposed the project. The community board voted no with none in favor. Despite the rejection, Mayor de Blasio is moving forth with the plan. Already Brooklyn's community board rejected to have the jail their borough.
