Stop Online Predators Act soon coming to reality in NY

New York, the second largest Government controlled state after California, introduced the Stop Online Predators Act which would require all online apps, platforms and websites to check user ages. The technology will show private messages from people who reached out not in their contact list will be turned off by default. This includes video game groups online.

Each individual under 18 can only add someone to their list and parents could choose to allow more open chatting if they want.

The bill aims to stop unknown adults from easily contacting children while keeping normal friendships possible.

The bill passed one committee in the Senate and will move to the next stage and the Governor is expected to sign it to make it a law. If passed, tech companies will need to configure for NY state alone.

Meanwhile, drag queen dance is allowed in schools and other places approved under the one party rule as well as related events most parents disapprove of including gender studies.
