State police arrest colonie man for possessing child pornography

On November 1, 2024, State Police of Latham, with the assistance of the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, arrested Jack D. Vonfrickon, 27, of Colonie, NY, for Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “D” felony, and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “E” felony.

Vonfrickon is accused of promoting and possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation. His arrest followed an investigation that stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children .

Vonfrickon was arrested and processed at SP Latham. He was then arraigned at the Colonie Town Court, where he was remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond, or a $15,000 partially secured bond.
