State Police in Troop G make notable DWI arrests statewide

On November 21, 2024, at about 10:12 a.m. State Police of Greenwich stopped a vehicle in the area of State Route 40 in Argyle, NY.  The driver was identified as Joanne M. Sharp, 56, of Argyle, NY.  Sharp was found not to have a valid Driver’s License and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.  She was transported to SP Greenwich for processing, where she recorded a 0.23% BAC.  Sharp was issued tickets returnable to the Argyle Town Court on December 12, 2024, and released.

On November 23, 2024, at about 9:28 a.m. State Police assigned at the Latham Interstate Patrol stopped a vehicle in the area of Stuyvesant Plaza in Guilderland, NY.  The driver was identified as Natalie R. Brennan, 45, of Ballston Spa, NY.  Brennan was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.  On November 24, 2024, at about 12:54 a.m. State Police of Clifton Park stopped a vehicle on I-87 in Halfmoon, NY.  The driver was identified as Rudolph Diggs, 66, of Rensselaer, NY.  Diggs was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. 

On November 24, 2024, at about 4:57 p.m., State Police of Clifton Park stopped a vehicle on Lower Warren Street in Queensbury, NY, at a Sobriety Checkpoint.  The driver was identified as Vernel E. Bauser, 44, of Glens Falls, NY. A child under the age of 16 was also located in the vehicle.  Bauser was arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child (Leandra’s Law), Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, and Endangering the welfare of a Child.  He was transported to SP Queensbury for processing, where samples were collected to determine the drug content of his blood. 

On November 25, 2024, at about 12:09 a.m., State Police of Wilton received a call for a disabled vehicle in traffic on I-87 in Wilton, NY.  The driver, who identified as Samson J. Lamadine, 28, of Schenectady, was located asleep at the wheel in the middle of the off ramp.  Lamadine was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. 

On November 25, 2024, at about 5:15 pm. State Police of Fonda responded to the reports of a one-car crash in West Fulton Street Extension in Johnstown, NY.  The driver, who was identified as Jerome A. Brown, 47, of Johnstown, NY, was witnessed leaving the scene on foot but was located nearby by Troopers.  Brown was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. 

On November 25, 2024, at about 6:20 p.m., State Police of Chestertown responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Alpine Avenue in Queensbury, NY, parked in the caller’s driveway. Troopers located the running vehicle matching the caller’s description in a nearby driveway, and the driver, who was asleep, was identified as Jacob Smallarz, 27, of Colchester, VT. Smallarz was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.
