State Police arrest the same Mechanicville man twice in one week for DWI

On June 29, 2025, at 1:42 a.m. State Police of Saratoga stopped a vehicle on State Route 67 in Malta, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Damian D. Cross, 40 of Mechanicville, NY. Cross was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Saratoga for processing where he recorded a 0.20% BAC. Cross was issued tickets returnable to the Malta Town Court on July 31, 2025, and released to a sober third party.

On July 5, 2025, at about 1:44 a.m. State Police of Queensbury stopped a vehicle on I-87 in Moreau, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Cross. Cross was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Queensbury for processing where he recorded a 0.20% BAC. Cross was issued tickets returnable to the Moreau Town Court on July 16, 2025, and released to a sober third party.
