State Police arrest a Gloversville man following a pursuit that ended in a crash

On October 8, 2025, State Police with the assistance of the Gloversville Police Department and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office arrested Zachary M. Bailey, 33 of Gloversville, NY for Reckless Endangerment in the first degree, Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the third degree, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the second degree and numerous Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

On October 8, 2025, at about 11:32 a.m. members of the Gloversville Police Department reported a vehicle pursuit as a result of a failure to comply with a traffic stop in the area of North Main Street in Gloversville, NY. State Police members assisted with the pursuit of the vehicle being operated by Bailey. During the course of the pursuit Bailey recklessly operated his vehicle, violating numerous Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. While fleeing Bailey subsequently lost control of his vehicle in the area of County Route 112 in Bleeker, NY, and crashed off the roadway.  Upon crashing Bailey fled on foot and was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.

Bailey was transported to Nathan Littauer Hospital in Amsterdam, NY, then Med flighted to Albany Medical Center for injuries he sustained during the crash and symptoms related to a suspected overdose. He was processed at SP Fonda on October 12, 2025, upon being released from the hospital. Bailey was then transported to the Fulton County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

The investigation is ongoing.
