State Police arrest Queensbury for rape following investigation into child sexual assault

On September 10, 2026, State Police of Queensbury, with the assistance of the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, arrested Jacob D. Geer, 41, of Queensbury, NY, for Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance, a class “C” felony, and Rape 3rd, a class “E” felony.

On June 10, 2026, State Police received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) reporting sexual contact between a child and an adult man. The investigation discovered media consistent with child sexual exploitation on Geer’s cellphone. Further investigation determined the media had been allegedly recorded by Geer while having sexual contact with a child under the age of 17. The sexual contact had reportedly occurred in the town of Queensbury in 2018.
