State Police arrest Gansevoort man following road rage investigation

On October 18, 2026, State Police of Latham arrested Matthew R. Kuznia, 33, of Gansevoort, NY, for:

Menacing 2nd, a class “A” misdemeanor

Reckless Endangerment, a class “A” misdemeanor

Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th, a class “A” misdemeanor

 On October 18, 2026, at about 1:19 a.m., Troopers responded to the report of a road rage incident that occurred on Interstate 787 during which Kuznia reportedly displayed a handgun. The investigation determined that, during a road rage altercation, Kuznia allegedly pointed a handgun at the other party while he was driving a vehicle traveling northbound on I-787 in Watervliet. No one was injured.
