State Police Sand Lake man following a disturbance investigation involving a BB gun

On July 11, 2025, State Police arrested Todd J. Hoch, 56 of Sand Lake, NY for Criminal Mischief in the third degree, Menacing in the second degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree, and Harassment in the second degree.

On July 11, 2025, at about 8:37 p.m. Troopers responded to a home in Sand Lake, NY for the reports of a disturbance. The investigation determined Hoch, and the victim were reportedly involved in an altercation. During the argument Hoch allegedly discharged a BB gun striking the victim’s vehicle that they were hiding behind, causing more than $250 worth of damage.
