Special election for Queens Borough President

The current Queens Borough President, Melinda Katz won the primary for Queens District Attorney and she is expected to win the general election with no Republicans in the ballot. The Board of Election announced the special election is expected to take Katz's place in February 2021 awaiting confirmation from the mayor's office. The possible candidates so far are Elizabeth Crowley, Jimmy Van Bramer, Costa Constantinides, Donovan Richards, Ron Kim and few others who did not declare as of yet.
