South Ozone Park man busted for robbery as accomplice

Mineola - Police arrested Rahsaan Evans, 24 of South Ozone Park for attempted murder and robbery on Sunday, February 5 around 11:30pm in Hempstead. Police reported a victim was sitting inside his 2009 Nissan Murano on Willow Avenue when a suspect aimed gun demanding money. The victim took off and was shot several times from the suspect's gun. The victim managed to drive to the hospital. The same time, police received a 911 call of stolen auto at Long Beach Road. The second victim cooperated with the suspect and gave his phone, keys and wallet. Police arrested Andre Dennis, 22 of Roosevelt after investigation on Dutch Broadway on February 5 around 2am and found him inside the stolen vehicle. Dennis was charged with attempted murder and robbery along with other charges. Police also arrested Rahsaan Evans for his involvement with Dennis for the second incident. Evans is charged with robbery. Reported 12pm.
