Slashing investigation near the local park in Flushing

The NYPD reported a woman was slashed near the local Flushing Meadow Corona Park. The incident was reported on Tuesday around 10am on Booth Memorial Avenue near College Point Blvd. A bystander called 911 responding to an unconscious female on the sidewalk and EMS transported her to a local hospital.

Detectives were called to the hospital for the incident.

As of now, additional details were not provided due to ongoing investigation.

Police are now in the area reviewing surveillance videos.

The investigation continues.
