Six people busted near Kissena Park for 200 pounds marijuana

Police were patrolling around both Kissena parks and its vicinity in Flushing on Tuesday when they noticed people were exchanging cash and marijuana bags on 58th Avenue. It happened on Tuesday afternoon around 2:30pm. When police approached, they ran to a home where police saw more drugs and cash. After placing the suspects in custody, police obtained a search warrant. Police recovered 200 pounds of marijuana worth $500,000 and almost $20,000 cash. Six people between 23 to 37 were arrested and charged with drugs, forgery instruments and other charges.
