Single accident closed SSP eastbound

The NCPD closed off the Southern State Parkway eastbound reporting a single collision involving a motorcyclist. This is by Exit 17 in Malverene. EMS confirmed the motorcyclist is unresponsive when the incident occurred around 8:30pm tonight. The motorcyclist struck the guardrail and collided on the road with other vehicles.

Highway CIS is now on the scene.

Ongoing investigation.

Update - the motorcyclist died at the hospital.
