Shooting update for Monday

NYPD reported in the last 24 hours, 14 shootings with 18 shot. 7 were shot by drive-by in Canarsie in 5 separate incidents in the NYCHA complex. So far, one dead in East Harlem.
This came after NYPD anti-crime unit was disbanded.
The 1 year old shot dead in Brooklyn had the mayor visit the family and offered condolences.
As for the drive-by shootings in Canarsie, police reported all are expected to survive despite two being shot multiple times in 15 minutes span. Police are searching for the suspect with white vehicle attached image.
This totals 634 shootings for this year, the highest compared to 394 last year.
The mayor is working on anti-violence program starting with Harlem with more police personnel where shootings are high.
Most of the shooting are in Brooklyn and the DA Eric Gonzalez. The NYS Attorney General filed a lawsuit against Gonzalez for putting his radical political agenda first while refusing to prosecute gun cases.
