Sex crime assault burglary and theft reported in Glen Oaks

Police stated on June 14 around 6pm, a victim at 263rd Street and 76th Avenue was sexually assaulted. Then on June 19th, another sexual assault was reported at 77th Avenue and Commonwealth Blvd. around 2pm. Police has not stated if both incidents are matched pattern. On June 15th, a suspect burglarized a residence on 76th Avenue and 249th Street around 1am. On June 17th around 9pm, a felony assault was reported at 257th Street and Union Turnpike. On June 18 around 11am, a suspect stole license plates from vehicle at Union Turnpike and 256th Street next to the library. Police from 105th Pct are canvassing using dark vans around Glen Oaks including the coop neighborhood and shopping center to see if people are sitting inside vehicles for a while. Several people were questioned while sitting inside their vehicles. So far no arrests has been made. Police has not disclosed additional details due to ongoing investigation.
