The 74 year old man who died in New Hyde Park is a loner and didn't have immediate family. He is an Indian citizen from Kerala and has green card. He used to live in the attic at the corner home on 80th Avenue and 255th Street in Floral Park until moved to New Hyde Park. He had to move when the house caught fire while back. A fellow employee said his name is Thomas and has been working in ShopRite even before it was Pathmark. He lived alone and often commuted with his bicycle. Police are continuing the investigation. Sources also stated he may have a son in the US and obtaining his whereabouts.
